Two Things That Make People Prosper or Fail.
They are the two powers in life you can never control or stop.
There are two extremely strong powers that nobody can control or stop. Prosperous people are successful because of these two. So many people worldwide fail dismally in their endeavors due to the fact that they don’t know these two beasts rule the world.
People know they exist. However, they are not aware that these two are powers. If you understand and respect them, they bless you with power, but if you underate or misunderstand them, they will make you lose power and look like you are cursed.
They never teach you about them at school, college, or university. This article is all about them.
Robby and Dobby were very successful business people. They both owned grocery shops which they opened in 2010. Their shops were two and a half miles apart. Yes, they knew each other, but they were never friends or enemies. They were business competitors.
In 2015, ASDA (one of the giant supermarkets in the UK) opened a huge supermarket right in the middle of Robby’s and Dobby’s grocery shops. Robby and Dobby suddenly lost more than 60% of their customers to ASDA. This was because ASDA sold all the goods that could be found in Robby’s and Dobby’s shops at half price or cheaper.
Robby went out of business and closed his shop. Hitherto, he is looking for a job.
However, Dobby’s grocery shop is still in operation and it’s now stronger and more profitable than it was before ASDA. Instead of just operating in her brick and mortar shop, Dobby went online as well. She also started a home delivery service to her customers. She studied whatever ASDA did and looked for ways to do it better.
As I am writing this article, word has it that big supermarkets are locked up in buyout negotiations with Dobby and the lowest bid so far is about one hundred million dollars.
You can never control or stop change. There will always be change, for example, this year in 2020 the Covid-19 pandemic closed many businesses worldwide and a huge percentage of them will never be back in business again. Why?
To be prosperous in anything in life, you must understand, adjust, accommodate, and manage change. There is always change, and your job is to manage it and benefit from it. All improvements, innovations, renovations, and discoveries come from change. However, not all change leads to improvement.
The number one reason why you are afraid of change is that it threatens your security. It throws you into the unknown and makes you uncomfortable.
Even if you understand, adjust, accommodate, and manage change, you will never be successful in doing so, and in your whole life without the other power.
No matter how rich, wealthy, poor, or holly you are, you can never control or stop time. To be prosperous in anything in life, you must understand, adjust, accommodate, and manage time.
Time management is the process of planning, understanding, adjusting, and controlling when to do a specific activity and how much time to spend on it. The number one enemy of time management is procrastination.
If you manage your time properly, you will enjoy the ability to complete more tasks in a shorter period of time, lower stress, more time, more opportunities, the ability to achieve your goals, and success.
You can effectively manage your time by setting goals that are specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and timely; prioritizing tasks based on importance and urgency; setting a time limit to complete a task; taking breaks between tasks; organizing yourself; removing non-essential tasks, and planning ahead.
If you want to be successful, please say no to everything that doesn’t support your immediate goals. Never work from a to-do list, but always work from a calendar because time is the most precious commodity in life. Once it’s gone, it’s gone. You will never get it back as you do with money, health, or love.
Time and change are the two powers in life you can never control or stop. They are also the two most difficult components in life to manage. However, the key to a prosperous future is the successful management of time and change.
