Fasting is not good to do every day of your life. It should be practiced occasionally and in a well-planned manner — a few times a year, for example. Fasting can have benefits but too much fasting has potential downsides. For the most part, though, fasting has been found to have greater benefits than drawbacks for most people who take the time to plan it properly.
